Who can see a page

Anyone with the page’s private link, or who taps the candle’s Hello tag, the magnet or the QR code on the tap card. Pages aren’t listed anywhere and are hidden from search engines. Private by link means not public, but not secret either: share the link with the family, not on social media.

Visitors see the posts that aren’t hidden and the name each was posted under. Only signed-in members can post. Members sign in with a code we email them, no password.

There are no ads, pixels or trackers on family pages or the tap page.

What the owner can do

The owner is the person who ordered (they become owner by opening the private link in their order email). The owner can:

• invite people with the page’s invite link;
• hide any post, or show it again;
• delete any post, which deletes its photo or recording too;
• remove a member (what they already posted stays until it’s deleted);
• see members’ names and email addresses.

Members can hide or delete their own posts. A word filter holds some notes, hidden, until the owner looks at them.

Taking something down

The fastest way is to ask the page owner, or delete it yourself if you posted it.

If something on a page is about you (a photo of you, your name, a note about you) and you want it gone, email support@hellowick.com with the page link and what it is. You don’t need to be a member. We act within 5 business days, and sooner for anything harmful.

How long pages last

The family page is free, and you can keep adding to it after the candle is gone: the Hello Magnet opens the same page.

Pages stay up for as long as Hello Wick runs the service; we will email the owner at least 60 days before we ever retire one, with a way to download everything.

Please keep your own copies of anything you’d hate to lose. A family page is a place to share them, not a backup.

Children

Posting is for adults. Children post through a parent. Think twice before posting a child’s full name, school or address.
